Casio introduced G-Shock GBA-950 sports watch with pedometer and GPS-synchronization

Casio has launched the new G-Shock GBA-950 series in Japan, a sports watch with support for pedometer, activity analysis, Bluetooth synchronization and signature design. The model is available in three colors and is on sale now for ¥25,300 (about $176).

Running and fitness features

The GBA-950 is part of G-Shock’s sports lineup and is aimed at active users. The watch tracks:

  • number of steps
  • running distance and pace
  • calories burned
  • interval training
  • lap time (lap) and automatic laps

The device uses GPS signal from a connected smartphone for more accurate distance information. Synchronization is done through the Casio Watches app, which displays your activity history, achievements and daily goals.

Innovative design with LCD intensity graph

The dial has a “donut” design with a workout intensity graph (5 levels) and progress by goal display. The main hands and markers are luminescent coated for visibility in the dark.
