Technology calibrated to perfection
The new models’ flagship TESLA.11 dynamic driver delivers an exceptionally low distortion level of just 0.02% at 1kHz. At the same time, maximum sound pressure reaches an impressive 137dB, making it one of the loudest systems in its class.
The ergonomic shape of the housing was developed by analyzing hundreds of MRI scanned ear canals, ensuring a precise fit and reliable sound isolation down to -39dB. This performance is especially important in noisy concert venues and acoustically demanding studio environments.
Four models for every application
The series includes four models, each with a unique frequency response setting for a specific application:
- DT 70 IE – For precision mixing and monitoring. Ideal for sound designers, studio work and everyday listening in high quality. It has a balanced soundstage without accents.
- DT 71 IE – for drummers and bassists. The model emphasizes the bass frequencies, with emphasized highs and muted mids, creating a powerful and dynamic soundscape.
- DT 71 IE – for drummers and bassists.
- DT 72 IE – for guitarists and vocalists. It offers natural bass delivery and crisp treble extension, while a slight boost in the upper-mid range enhances the intelligibility of vocals and guitars in the mix.
- DT 73 IE – for classical instruments and keyboards. Features a linear response from 20 Hz to 1 kHz and a subtle accent in the treble above 5 kHz, which makes the sound precise and harmonious.

Reliability and protection are a priority
All headphones are built for long-term professional use. The Kevlar-reinforced cable is connected via gold-plated MMCX connectors, which provide a stable connection and are far more reliable than traditional 2-pin interfaces.
The DT 70 IE, DT 72 IE and DT 73 IE are IP68-rated to be fully dustproof and can withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. The DT 71 IE has an IP65 rating and is also resistant to moisture and dirt.

Joint campaign with Martin Miller Session Band
As part of the launch, beyerdynamic teamed up with Martin Miller Session Band, world-class musicians, to show the new headphones’ capabilities in action. Martin Miller himself noted that “DT models have always accompanied him in the studio, and now with the new in-canal series, he can enjoy the same sound quality on stage as well.

The headphones will be available for live testing at the company’s booth (11702, Hall A) at NAMM Show 2025 from January 23-25. Additional highlights will include live performances by American performers Corey Henry and Gina Miles.
