Bowers & Wilkins introduces premium headphones in McLaren’s signature colors
Bowers & Wilkins has launched a special version of its — Px8 S2 McLaren Edition wireless headphones, created in collaboration with McLaren Automotive and the McLaren Formula 1 team. The model gets the signature McLaren Papaya shade with accents in Anthracite Grey, as well as Speedmark design elements on the headband and cups. The logos are diamond-cut, and the headband and ear cushions are made of soft, memory-enhancing nappa.
As the manufacturer emphasizes, the new version focuses on improved sound and a design that reflects McLaren’s style. The headphones use Bowers & Wilkins’ proprietary Active Noise Cancellation technology, which blocks out external sounds without affecting the quality of the music. The Px8 S2 McLaren Edition is the third in a partnership between the companies and features improvements over the base Px8 S2 model.

The sound is driven by redesigned 40mm Carbon Cone dynamic drivers with redesigned chassis, voice coil, suspension and magnet for a higher level of detail. The drivers are tilted towards the ears to maintain the same distance to the cone surface and improve stage volume and stereo positioning accuracy. It supports aptX Adaptive 24/96, aptX Lossless and Bowers & Wilkins proprietary DSP, enabling 24-bit audio at 96kHz.

Control is available via the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, where you can adjust noise-cancellation levels, transparency mode, wearable sensor sensitivity, Quick Action button and view battery power. A five-band equalizer with the ability to save presets is also available. Battery life is claimed to be 30 hours, and a quick 15-minute charge provides up to seven hours of playback time.
