Apple Vision Pro: everything you get in the box

Apple has announced a launch date for Apple Vision Pro, its long-awaited spatial computing device. The mixed reality headset costs $3,499 and will go on sale in the U.S. on Friday, Feb. 2, with Canada and the U.K. coming later this year.
Apple Vision Pro will be available in the U.S., Canada, and the UK.
Apple isn’t yet revealing all the details about the device’s bundling options before pre-orders start taking place on Friday, January 19, but we do know what’s included with each Apple Vision Pro.
- The Vision Pro Headset: The headset is the core component of the Vision Pro system, featuring advanced eye and hand tracking technology with cameras, ultra-high-resolution displays for each eye, speakers on each side, and an EyeSight front screen. The headset comes with a minimum of 256GB of internal memory for app and media storage.
- Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band: these two types of headband are designed for convenience and customization. The Solo Knit Band is a single band that wraps around the back of the head, while the Dual Loop Band, Apple says, has «a pair of adjustable top and bottom straps for a customized fit».
- Light Seal: A face mask, made of soft textile and likely to come in a variety of shapes and sizes, curving to fit the user’s face for a precise fit. This accessory helps block out external light, enhancing the immersive effect of the headset.
- Two light-blocking pads: These pads come in two sizes and provide extra comfort and light-blocking by ensuring a snug fit to the face and preventing light leakage.
- Front Glass Cover: The cover protects the front glass of the headset when not in use, preventing scratches and damage.
- Polishing cloth: A soft cloth designed to clean the lenses and front glass of the headset without scratches or damage.
- Battery Pack: An external power source for the headset for longer run times and portability. According to Apple, the battery provides 2 hours of general use and 2.5 hours of 2D video playback on a single charge.
- Battery pack.
- USB-C Power Adapter: The adapter is used to charge the headset’s battery, ensuring the device is always ready for use. It may also allow the Vision Pro to be plugged into an external power source for longer use than the portable battery allows, though Apple has not yet confirmed this.
- A USB-C power adapter: This is used to charge the headset’s battery for a longer period of time.
- USB-C Charging Cable: A cable to connect the headset or battery pack to the USB-C power adapter for charging.

Apple will offer additional optical inserts for users who normally wear glasses, but they are not included and will be purchased separately at prices starting at $99. Apple has partnered with ZEISS to offer inserts that can be customized to meet each person’s vision requirements.

The inserts attach magnetically to Vision Pro lenses, providing precise vision and eye tracking. Glasses wearers will need a valid prescription to get the inserts, but Apple warns that not all prescriptions will be supported. The optical inserts will be available to order online at Apple’s website.
Apple’s website will be the place to order the inserts.
Apple plans to begin demonstrating the Vision Pro in Apple’s U.S. retail stores on launch day. Apple says the demonstrations will take place over the weekend on a first-come, first-served basis, with sign-ups beginning at 8:00 a.m. on February 2.
