Apple halted development of foldable iPhones due to faulty screens

Apple has halted development of a foldable iPhone due to faulty screens. An insider reports that the screen of a test device failed after several days of testing. It should be noted that Apple has put the project on hold until it develops a display that meets the company’s standards.

The company has been developing a flexible display iPhone since 2016, testing screens from Samsung and LG, and Apple is also working on two prototypes of an iPhone in a fold-out format. It’s unknown if the new leak is related to the production of flexible iPads. Apple is probably more interested in making a foldable tablet because of the lower requirements for the device.
In February, there were reports of a possible release of the first foldable device with a 7- to 8-inch screen that could replace the iPad mini. Apple has halted development of foldable iPhones due to faulty screens
