Apple is preparing more than 5 new products for launch in October

After the high-profile September premieres of the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and AirPods Pro 3, Apple is gearing up for a new wave of announcements. More than five new products are coming in October, including an updated Apple TV 4K, a second version of the HomePod mini, a new iPad Pro with the M5 processor, the highly anticipated AirTag 2, and an upgraded Vision Pro. There may be additional surprises as well.

The Apple TV 4K upgrade is getting special attention. It’s been three years since the previous version was released, and now the device is set to get a serious performance boost. At its core will be the A17 Pro chip, which will replace the current A15 Bionic. In addition, the Apple TV 4K will support Apple Intelligence, will be equipped with a new N1 wireless module, and may also get a built-in camera with Center Stage. Given the increasing competition from Google and Amazon, the update looks timely and could be a notable move to strengthen Apple’s position in the home media set-top box segment.

Other significant release will be the HomePod mini 2. The first version of the speaker arrived back in 2020 and hasn’t been updated since. The new model should get the same set of key technologies as the Apple TV 4K: Apple Intelligence support and the N1 chip. Improvements in sound quality are expected, as well as a new Ultra Wideband module that will expand usage scenarios.

An equally anticipated new product will be the M5 processor-based iPad Pro. Last year, the tablet got a major redesign and a move to a tandem OLED display, as well as an ultra-thin body. This time around, we’re talking about a quieter update that will still be meaningful to the professional audience. In addition to a new processor, iPad Pro will be equipped with a wireless chip N1, as well as an increased amount of RAM – up to 12 or 16 GB depending on the configuration. Rumor has it that the tablet could get a dual front-facing camera and Apple’s C1X modem, which is still only used in the iPhone.

AirTag 2 will come more than four years after the original debuted. Visually, the accessory won’t change much, but the technical improvements will be noticeable. Most importantly, there’s a new Ultra Wideband chip, an expanded feature set to protect privacy, and better location accuracy at an increased distance. All of this should make the tag more marketable in everyday scenarios.

Apple is also preparing an update to its Vision Pro augmented reality headset. The model will get an M5 (or reportedly M4) chip, a new strap for more comfort, and a black color option. Otherwise, the design and key features will remain the same. It’s too early to expect a lighter, more affordable version of the headset, which could be called Vision Air, which isn’t expected to launch until 2026.

Additional announcements are possible in October. These include the M5-based MacBook Pro, as well as new Studio Displays. According to Bloomberg, the laptop could be pushed back to 2026, but fresh leaks, including FCC data, indicate that a release could happen as early as this fall.

So October 2025 promises to be just as busy for Apple as September. The company is updating nearly every key lineup, from tablets and accessories to smart home and wearable devices.
