Nintendo Game Boy-inspired handheld console announced – Mobile BOY
Oscar Japan Inc has unveiled Mobile BOY, a handheld gaming system styled after the Nintendo Game Boy. The device stands out not only for its gaming capabilities, but also for its wireless charging function for smartphones using a MagSafe magnetic mount.
The dimensions of the novelty are 113.7×73.3 mm. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, while the power output is 15W. On the front side are the usual controls and color display, protected by glass. The left side panel has a small screen for displaying the battery level, while the bottom end has a USB-C port.

The developer isn’t revealing details of the console’s hardware and software, but claims that 11 shooters, 87 simple games, 39 puzzles and 163 other licensed games are pre-installed in the device’s memory.

The console’s body is said to be made of ABS plastic and polycarbonate. The battery provides up to 30 hours of continuous gameplay, and there is a pass-through charging option. It takes just under two hours to fully charge the device.

After completing a crowdfunding campaign on the Campfire platform, the Mobile BOY will be priced at $59 (Rmb4,780) in Japan. Domestic sales are scheduled to start in December.
