Amazfit introduced the Cheetah and Cheetah Pro smart watches
By ForGeeks Amazfit has announced a new series of smart watches called Cheetah. It includes two models — Cheetah and Cheetah Pro.
Let’s talk about the Amazfit Cheetah Pro first. They are advertised as «a premium watch for elite runners who want to optimize their performance». The watch gets a 1.45-inch AMOLED Always-On display with 480×480 pixels resolution, 1000 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display also supports more than 100 dials.
The watch’s bezel is made of titanium alloy and the case —s fiber-reinforced polymer. The watch uses a moisture-wicking nylon strap that is 22mm wide and adjustable from 150mm to 220mm.
The watch has an adjustable length.
Since the Cheetah Pro is designed for runners, it comes with a Zepp Coach-powered artificial intelligence that provides personalized running plans tailored to the user’s goals. These will be adjusted each week based on the user’s performance and health.
Other features designed for runners include Virtual Pacer, race achievement prediction and a track running mode.
The watch also includes MaxTrack GPS technology. It uses a dual-band GPS antenna (L1 and L5) that picks up nearly 100 percent of satellite signals and reduces multipath interference caused by tall buildings and trees to provide more accurate positioning.
Of course, the watch is equipped with a host of health-tracking features. These include sleep tracking, stress monitoring, blood-oxygen monitoring, and heart-rate monitoring. And the watch also supports 150 sport modes.
The Amazfit Cheetah Pro features a 440mAh battery that takes two hours to fully charge.
The price of the device — 273 euros.
The Amazfit Cheetah is available in two versions – round and square. So far, the company has told only about the round model. This model is positioned as «a practical watch for novice athletes who want to train more effectively». In terms of functions, it is identical to the Pro version, the only difference is the size and design.
The round version is the same as the Pro version.
The Amazfit Cheetah gets a 1.39-inch screen with 454×454 pixels resolution and a bezel made of fiber-reinforced polymer.
Other differences: this model doesn’t have a microphone and speakers, or Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.
The price — 210 euros.
