The 3M headset features Bluetooth wireless connectivity, a noise-canceling microphone and «press and listen» technology. The downside of the new headset is that it’s unnecessarily bulky, but that’s offset by the sound quality and high volume. Using Bluetooth instead of a dedicated wireless channel may result in sound delays.
The headset is a bit too bulky, but it makes up for it in sound quality and volume.
Solar cell technology is advancing rapidly, and we can already see its implementation in PC peripherals. The prospect of a peripheral that is completely wire- and charger-independent is getting closer thanks to continued advances in solar panel portability and performance.
