Britain’s King Charles III became a DJ on Apple Music 1’s “The King’s Music Room” show

On March 10, Commonwealth Day, King Charles III will host a special edition of the show on Apple Music 1, where he will share his favorite songs and talk about his love of music. The playlist includes hits from Bob Marley, RAYE, Kylie Minogue and more.

Apple Music 1 has long invited famous musicians and celebrities to host their own radio shows. Now they’re bringing in a real monarch to host a special edition of The King’s Music Room.

In his show, the King will talk about the place of music in his life and present a playlist including afrobeat, disco, reggae and ballads from the 1930s.

The show’s playlist includes Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Davido and Grace Jones.

When and where to listen

The premiere will take place on Monday, March 10 at 6am (world time) on Apple Music 1. Repeats will be available on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Hits throughout Monday and Tuesday. The release will also be available to listen on-demand.
