Xiaomi updates affordable 27-inch QHD monitor with 120Hz refresh rate and improved color calibration

Xiaomi quietly rolled out an updated version of its budget-friendly 27-inch QHD monitor. The original A27Qi launched in Europe last year and quickly gained traction as a solid budget option for work and everyday use. The 2026 refresh doesn’t bring drastic changes, but it does refine some key features that really matter.

Under the hood, it still sports a 27-inch IPS panel with a 2560 × 1440 resolution. The claimed brightness is 300 nits, response time stands at 6 ms (GtG), and viewing angles remain at a standard 178 degrees, typical for IPS displays.

Color specs remain familiar: 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 coverage at an 8-bit color depth. For comfortable long sessions, it features TÜV Rheinland-certified blue light reduction and DC dimming. In this regard, the monitor closely matches its predecessor.

The standout upgrade is the factory calibration with a delta E of less than 1. This is a significant upgrade for photographers, designers, and content creators who need accurate colors right out of the box.

The contrast ratio has also been bumped up to 1300:1, promising deeper blacks and better detail in darker scenes. While not revolutionary, this tweak is definitely noticeable. Another important improvement is the refresh rate bump to 120 Hz, up from 100 Hz in the previous model. This results in smoother scrolling, UI animations, and casual gaming.

The monitor is already available for $159, but so far only in Thailand. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed a global rollout yet, though judging by how the previous model spread, a wider release could be on the horizon.

This update isn’t flashy – there’s no OLED panel or extreme brightness here – but for under $200, the combination of QHD resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, wide color gamut, and sub-ΔE 1 factory calibration makes this monitor a very competitive choice.
