Tuxedo Computers has unveiled the sixth-generation Stellaris Slim 15 notebook. Like its predecessors, it’s designed to run a pre-installed Linux-based operating system with comparable performance to current Windows models. The manufacturer has revealed all the characteristics of the novelty and announced its price in different configurations.

Stellaris Slim 15 Gen 6 features a 15.3-inch display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. The hinges allow the lid to rotate 180 degrees.

The laptop comes in two configurations: with an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor or an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor. In both cases, you can choose between NVIDIA GeForce GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards. The configuration can also include up to 64 GB of RAM in the version on the Intel chip, and up to 96 GB in the modification with an AMD processor. Maximum disk space is up to 8TB.

The interface suite includes HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 4 for Intel or USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C for AMD, three USB Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio port, and a card reader. For wireless connectivity, there’s Bluetooth 5.2 (Intel) or 5.3 (AMD), and Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 (AMD) or AX211 (Intel).

The laptop comes pre-installed with the Tuxedo 3 operating system. You can also choose from Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Kubuntu 22.04 LTS or Ubuntu Budgie 22.04 LTS. Other features include a silent keyboard and a 12.3 x 7.8 mm glass touchpad.

The AMD version of the Tuxedo Stellaris Slim 15 will be available in mid-June for $1 841 (164 325 rubles). The Intel chip version will be released at the same time, with a starting price of $1,895 ($169 145 rubles).
