Computex 2025: MSI showed 500Hz MAG 271QR X50 and 272QP X50 OLED monitors

MSMI has unveiled a pair of new monitors utilizing Samsung’s advanced OLED panels based on third-generation quantum dot technology. These models feature a built-in neural processor and an integrated camera.

The MSI MAG 271QR X50 features a 27-inch Samsung 10-bit QD-OLED matrix with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a refresh rate of up to 500Hz. To minimize the risk of OLED display burn-in, the monitor uses protection technology based on a built-in camera and NPU. The system analyzes the presence of the user in front of the screen by scanning the space every 0.2 seconds. In the absence of the user, the screen automatically turns off or optimizes settings to reduce power consumption.

The monitor features an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time, DisplayHDR True Black 500, VESA ClearMR 21000 and HDR support. Peak brightness reaches 500 nits at 10% of active pixels and 1000 nits at 3%. Communication options include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, a Type-C connector with 15W power and a 3.5mm headphone port. Additionally, there’s an anti-reflective coating and an adjustable stand that allows you to adjust the height, tilt and swivel of the screen.

The second model on display, the MAG 272QP X50, lacks a camera and NPU for tracking user presence. Both models are backed by a three-year warranty that covers display burn-in.
