Computex 2025: ASUS announces RTX 50-powered gaming laptops and desktops

At Computex 2025, ASUS unveiled all-new and improved models of its ROG and TUF gaming lines, which range from compact 14-inch notebooks to Mid-Tower desktop systems. All presented new products are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs supporting DLSS 4 and hardware frame generation technology. The CPUs used are Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen Zen 5 with integrated neural units for local processing of artificial intelligence tasks.

The company’s top-performing gaming laptops are the updated Strix G16 and Strix G18. Both models utilize Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processors coupled with RTX 50-series mobile graphics cards, up to the RTX 5090. Up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM is supported, and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots provide RAID 0 organization. The cooling system includes three fans and an evaporation chamber with liquid-metal thermal interface. The notebooks feature 16- and 18-inch ROG Nebula IPS displays with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, 240Hz refresh rate, and 3ms response time.
The redesigned Zephyrus G14 focuses on portability, with an aluminum chassis that’s just 16mm thick and weighs 1.5kg. Inside, there’s a Ryzen AI 9 270 with NPU up to 50 TOPS, 16GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM, and an RTX 5060 GPU (95W). The display is a 14-inch OLED matrix with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels, 120Hz and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. There is one M.2 slot for storage, and the pre-installed PCIe 4.0 SSD has a capacity of 1TB. Interfaces include Wi-Fi 7, USB4 and HDMI 2.1.

The TUF lineup has its first 18-inch laptop, the TUF Gaming A18. It features a Ryzen 7 260 processor and RTX 5060 Laptop graphics card (up to 140W), as well as a 2560×1600 pixel, 240Hz, 16:10 aspect ratio display. The F16 and A16 models get Core Ultra 9 275HX and Ryzen 9 270 respectively, as well as RTX 5070 Laptop graphics adapters for the F16 and RTX 5060 Laptop for the A16. Both laptops feature 16-inch screens with 2.5K resolution and 165Hz resolution.

The A14 is the most compact member of the TUF Gaming family. It has a 14-inch screen, a Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, and an RTX 5060 Laptop graphics card (100W). It’s 17mm thick and weighs in at 1.46kg.

In the desktop category, ASUS showed off two new models. The ROG G700 is a 38-liter Mid-Tower computer with a one-piece glass front panel and tool-free access to components. The maximum configuration features Intel Core Ultra processors with 24 cores and an RTX 5070 graphics card with 16GB of video memory, while the Z890 chipset motherboard supports up to 128GB of DDR5-7200 RAM. The 45-liter TUF Gaming T500 uses the same Core Ultra processors but allows for graphics cards up to the RTX 5080. The desktop features 360mm liquid cooling and a transparent side panel.
The new Strix G16, Strix G18, Zephyrus G14, and TUF Gaming A14, A16, A18 and F16 go on sale today, May 19, at the following prices:
