VK opened an IT hub in Novosibirsk

The company’s new workspace is located in the very center of the city – in the Praktik co-working space at 46 Deputatskaya Street. More than 100 VK employees already work in Novosibirsk, and the company plans to open new positions for local specialists.

The hub was opened as part of VK’s program to develop the IT community in regions with high scientific and technical potential. The program includes creating regional hubs, holding events to share experience and attracting the strongest IT specialists.

On June 13, VK will hold the first IT-bar Community event in Novosibirsk – a mitap for middle+ and senior level backend developers. Participants will be able to discuss working topics in an informal atmosphere – during the meeting VK experts will share their experience in solving technological problems for Odnoklassniki, VKontakte, VK Tech and Mail.ru.

Besides the office in Novosibirsk, VK has opened IT hubs in Kazan and Minsk in 2023. The company also has offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Sochi. In total, VK employs 15,000 people.
