Crystal Dynamics has confirmed staff reductions

Crystal Dynamics has become the latest Embracer Group-owned studio to experience layoffs. In a statement released on Wednesday, the Tomb Raider and Perfect Dark developer said it was laying off 10 employees as part of an internal restructuring.

The announcement followed what the company said was the unexpected scrapping of a $2 billion deal with a mystery partner, which it later learned turned out to be the Saudi government-funded Savvy Games Group. At the time, Crystal Dynamics said the events at Embracer would not affect its current projects.
