Automobile Technologies plant has produced the 1000th body of Haval M6

On July 28, the Automobile Technologies plant started serial production of full-cycle bodies. Today, the company celebrated the production of the 1,000th body of the Haval M6 model.

Reorganization of the welding shop

A major modernization was carried out to launch the new welding shop. The total area of the reorganized production areas was about 2,800 m².

More than half of the equipment has been specially adapted to the M6 project. These include:

  • 15 robots;
  • over 40 welding tongs for manual and robotic welding;
  • about 10 machines for shielded gas arc welding;
  • more than 20 electric hoists

New equipment and technologies

About 30 welding conductors with pneumatic and electric control have been developed and installed to ensure precise geometry and reliability of the body.

In addition, two heavy-duty robots with a wide working area have been purchased. They are capable of handling parts weighing up to 700 kilograms. These machines will perform both the insertion of the body sides into the main welding fixture and various welding operations.

Production Preparation and Standards

Welding parameters were adjusted, conductors were debugged, and robot programs and trajectories were developed.

Welding and quality control standards were developed and implemented, and requirements for operator workstations were improved. Thanks to these changes, production was brought to a stable serial level and a significant result was achieved – the production of the thousandth body.
