Volkswagen Passat goes on sale

Volkswagen has started taking orders for the new generation of its Volkswagen Passat car. The model is already available to buy in Europe, including Germany, with prices starting at 39,995 euros (about 3.8 million rubles) for the base version with eTSI mild hybrid technology.

The new Volkswagen Passat offers a wide range of engine choices, including traditional gasoline and diesel variants, as well as hybrid and plug-in hybrid. There are four trim levels available to buyers: the Passat, Business, Elegance and R-Line. In the base configuration, the car is equipped with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, rearview camera, MIB4 multimedia system with wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning, USB-C ports with fast charging, black roof rails and LED optics.
The Business version is available for 44,995 euros (approximately 4.4 million rubles) and is powered by a 1.5-liter eTSI engine. It also gets additional styling touches including chrome window trim, silver anodized roof rails and chrome detailing at the front and rear. Inside, the car features comfort seats with electric adjustment and massage function, tri-zone climate control, automatic light control, parking assistant and a partial autonomous driving system.

Elegance and R-Line are versions with additional equipment and features. They feature next-generation LED matrix headlights, heated and massaging seats, keyless entry, atmospheric lighting with a choice of 30 colors, IDA voice assistant, new parking assistant with memory function, electric trunk and Dynamic Light Assist high beam control. The R-Line version also features sports seats with integrated headrests, while the Elegance version can be recognized by the original 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels.
