Volkswagen Lavida XR rose in price to 3 million rubles in Russia

The Volkswagen Lavida XR in China is positioned as a budget sedan with a price tag of around 80,000 yuan (893 600 rubles). However, as soon as the car gets to Russia, its cost increases significantly. For example, a month ago it could be purchased for 2.4 million rubles, and now the price has risen to 3 million rubles.

This is the amount of money the seller from Magnitogorsk is demanding for the cars (there are two of them). Both cars are presented in the top configuration with combined seat trim and adaptive cruise control.

Orders for the Lavida XR start at 1.764 million rubles, which is 64 thousand rubles more than a month ago. A seller from Ivanovo offers the car in the basic configuration (with cloth interior, air conditioning, and a big-screen media system) at that price. Other sellers, for example, in Krasnodar and Vladivostok, have higher prices for cars on order: 1.85 million rubles, and in Moscow – 1.925 million rubles.

From a technical standpoint, all Lavida XRs offered in Russia are identical, with a 1.5-liter 112-horsepower atmospheric engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
