Audi has completely revamped the myAudi app: artificial intelligence, digital key and electric car control

The modern automobile — is only half the story. The other half that drivers face on a daily basis — is software. Audi is taking a major step toward simplifying the management of its technology with a complete overhaul of the myAudi app.
The company is positioning the new solution as a platform that integrates driver, car and internet into a single system. Audi promises that the updated app will make life much simpler for owners.
The main new feature — the integration of artificial intelligence. The CARIAD division has embedded ChatGPT directly into the system. This AI assistant is able to answer technical questions about the car using information from the on-board manual. Drivers can now ask: «Why did that light bulb come on? » instead of having to stop and look for the answer on Google.

The myAudi app now completely replaces the physical key. Using a smartphone or smartwatch, owners can lock, unlock and even start the car. Digital keys are not new, but their integration here makes a physical key almost unnecessary. For those who have lost keys or just want to carry less stuff on their person, this feature makes the car a seamless part of their digital life.
The app is especially useful for owners of Audi e-tron electric cars. It gathers all the important data in one place: current range, managing the Plug & Charge function, creating and monitoring charging schedules. This allows you, for example, to plug the car in at night and ensure that charging only takes place during the night hours, saving you money on electricity.
The app also includes an improved route planner for electric cars. The owner can plan a long trip from home and the app will automatically calculate charging stations along the way, including stops for recharging, and then the route can be sent directly to the car’s navigation.

For some models, battery pre-warming or cooling before fast charging is supported, significantly reducing charging time, especially in hot or cold weather.
In addition, the app acts as a portal to Audi’s digital marketplace. A new tab «Purchases» offers personalized products and services for a specific car model, including accessories and digital services — a reflection of the automaker’s new strategy for additional monetization.
The updated myAudi app is already available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play in more than 50 countries, from Europe to the Pacific Rim. Audi has also confirmed that new markets including Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman will soon be connected.
