In Russia, German Magirus-Deutz trucks used in the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) in the 1970s are being sold.

At the time, the USSR decided to buy 10,000 Magirus trucks for construction. Two- and three-axle flatbed trucks and Magirus-Deutz dump trucks with hood cabs were delivered to the Soviet Union.
