In an interview with Auto.ru Magazine, Executive Director Alexander Sasin gave details about the development of the experimental off-road all-terrain vehicle Visuva.

It is promised that the car will be able to move at high speeds off-road and at the same time comfortably manage on asphalt. However, category B is not suitable for driving the Visuva all-terrain vehicle, you will have to get a tractor-machinist’s license.

According to the source, the Visuva SUV family will include several versions. At the moment, a two-seat vehicle measuring 4601x2331x1930 millimeters (with a 280-horsepower engine from Toyota) is being developed. In the future, it is promised that there will be modifications for four, five seats and a pickup truck.

The car’s suspension is based on Buggy technology as well as Rally cars. The prototype uses drivetrains from the Toyota Sequoia. In addition, the ground clearance of the car reaches 470 millimeters. The basic equipment will include conventional mud tires with an outer diameter of 37-40 inches, put on disks with a diameter of 18-22 inches. Ultra-low-pressure tires will be offered as an option, and crawlers will be available in the future.

The only thing we know about the Visuva’s all-wheel drive is that it’s permanent, with a differential. The layout of the car is mid-engine. Consequently, the luggage space is — in the front, under the hood.

The engines for the Visuva SUV lineup will be purchased in China from Great Wall — 2-3-liter gasoline turbo engines from the Tank 300 and 500 SUVs. Correspondingly, the gearboxes are 8-9-speed automatics, but instead of a traditional gearshift, a joystick and rotary puck (from the Tank SUVs) are being considered.

We’re promised to produce about 100 vehicles a year. The possible cost of the experimental off-roader-vehicle Visuva will be about 6 million rubles with a 2.0 turbo engine and about 8 million rubles for a car with a 3.0 engine.
