Renault has revealed the next-generation Twingo concept

French automaker Renault has unveiled a concept model of the car, which is claimed to be a precursor to the fourth-generation Twingo. Official specs of the car have not yet been disclosed, but the company promises incredible efficiency of up to 16.4 kilometers per kWh.
The new concept is an evolution of the design of previous versions of the Twingo. It retains the overall concept and a number of recognizable exterior elements. Particular attention has been paid to the silhouette of the body, as well as the minimalist design of the front end with half-circle running lights and characteristic protrusions near the windshield. Rear lights are also made in the form of a semicircle, and the fifth door is decorated with a massive plastic frame. The hood has vents, which are a nostalgic hint of the original model and now serve as battery indicators.
The electric Twingo will be based on the recently introduced AmpR Small platform, which will be used in other future Renault electric cars such as the Renault 5 and Renault 4.
