Nissan unveiled the N6, the first plug-in sedan for the Chinese market

Nissan has officially unveiled the N6 — its first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan created specifically for the Chinese market. The vehicle is being released as part of a joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng — Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle (DFN).

The Nissan N6 is the first model on the Tianyan Architecture platform — a common new energy vehicle (NEV) architecture developed by Nissan and Dongfeng.

The model features a hybrid powertrain: a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 21.1 kWâ‹…h LFP-type battery pack. According to the manufacturer, fuel consumption is less than 2 liters per 100 km, and the range on electric power reaches 180 km. Nissan claims that these figures have earned the N6 a Guinness world record. The battery supports fast charging — less than 20 minutes to a full charge.

The interior is designed as a «360-degree shell»: 85 percent of the surface is finished in soft-touch materials. At the center —s a 15.6-inch display with 2.5K resolution and an AI-powered Xiao Ni voice assistant.

Front seats — AI Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion with customizable seating. Rear sofa — Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion Sofa. A gel-like material is used for the trim, which is meant to convey the feel of premium leather.
