Mazda will officially return to Russia through Mazda Motor Rus

Mazda Motor Rus is planning centralized deliveries of Mazda cars to Russia and will bring about 3,000 cars by the end of 2025. According to “Avto.ru Magazine,” this was discussed at a closed meeting with dealers held on June 10.

Mazda Motor Rus plans to centralize deliveries of Mazda cars to Russia and bring about 3,000 cars by the end of 2025.

The first stage will be deliveries of the CX-5 and CX-50 crossovers

Mazda Motor Rus used to be Mazda’s official distributor in Russia, but now acts as an independent structure. The company is going to start importing cars from the Chinese factory, and is also considering the possibility of Russification of multimedia systems.

The CX-5 and CX-50 models are planned to be delivered at the first stage. In the future, possible expansion of the model range will include the CX-9 and CX-90 crossovers. All vehicles will be backed by a three-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first.

Price will be higher, but with legal pluses

The cars brought in by Mazda Motor Rus are likely to be more expensive than those supplied by dealers through parallel channels from the same factories. However, deliveries from the former distributor will be subject to VAT and full customs clearance, which opens up the possibility of leasing Mazda cars – a key advantage for corporate customers.

Context: brands continue to operate through independent channels

On May 30, Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, denied rumors about Toyota’s return to the Russian market, explaining that it is only a matter of parallel imports with payment of commercial scrappage duty and a two-year dealer warranty not confirmed by the manufacturer.

The Mazda will officially return to Russia through Mazda Motor Rus was first published at ITZine.ru.
