Honda has announced its new Ye S7 electric crossover vehicle

Japan’s Honda has unveiled the Ye S7, its first vehicle under its own sub-brand focused on electric cars. The new car is an electric SUV with a panoramic sunroof.

The vehicle is being developed by a joint venture between Honda and Dongfeng called Dongfeng Honda. The SUV is expected to be built on Honda’s all-electric W platform. It measures 4,750 x 1,930 x 1,625 mm and has a wheelbase of 2,930 mm.

The car will be powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 350 kW or 470 horsepower. The weight of the Ye S7 is claimed to be 2305 kg. The top speed of the SUV will be up to 180 km/h. The vehicle will be powered by lithium batteries manufactured by Chinese company CATL.

Price for the Ye S7 will be announced later.
