Ford has launched the new Ford Kuga 2024 for Europe
By ForGeeks Ford has unveiled the new 2024 Ford Kuga for the European market. The SUV gets an updated Active package that includes additional plastic body cladding and silver protective plates for extra durability.
The new model also features Trail mode, which allows you to customize throttle response and traction control to improve traction when driving over mud, sand and other rough surfaces.
The interior of the Kuga Active features dark wood trim on the dash and door panels, as well as exclusive upholstery on the 18-way-adjustable seats. In the European market, the 2024 model will also be offered in Titanium and ST-Line trim levels with minor styling changes from previous versions.

A major change is the 2024 Kuga’s switch to Ford’s SYNC4 infotainment system with a large 13.2-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The center console has been simplified to integrate key functions into the larger display.

The engine range no longer includes diesel models. The base version is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine with 148 horsepower that sends power to the front axle via a six-speed manual transmission. A hybrid version is also available with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, with a total output of 177 horsepower in the front-wheel-drive version and a slightly higher 180 horsepower in the all-wheel-drive model.

A feature of the new 2024 Ford Kuga is an upgraded plug-in hybrid with the same 2.5-liter engine. Its maximum output is now 240 horsepower, which is 30 horsepower more than the Escape PHEV model. This variant also has 18 horsepower more than the previous Kuga PHEV model and uses an upgraded automatic transmission with power-sharing.

The Kuga PHEV can now accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, two seconds quicker than before. Towing capacity has also increased by 30 percent to 2,100 kilograms. Thanks to a 14.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the maximum electric range is 69 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.
