Chrysler unveiled the Halcyon futuristic sports car concept

Chrysler, part of auto giant Stellantis, has unveiled the Halcyon futuristic sports car concept. The electric car comes complete with artificial intelligence, autopilot and a wireless battery charging system. Along with the Halcyon unveiling, the automaker updated its logo.
The electric car uses an artificial intelligence-based voice assistant. With the help of AI, Halcyon takes into account the driver’s preferences and adjusts the heating system in the cabin. In autopilot mode, the steering wheel and pedals fold inside the interior to make room for the driver. Sustainable materials were used for 95 percent of the interior components, including a company logo made from recycled CDs.

The company focused on Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT) technology, which can charge an electric car while driving using induction. The Halcyon is equipped with an 800-volt lithium-sulfur battery pack. Chrysler claims that such batteries are 60 percent less polluting than other electric cars.

The company delivered 133,000 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada in 2023. Some of the profits will be used to refine the concept. The auto giant plans to conduct full-scale testing of the Halcyon as early as next year.
