BYD is preparing to release the U9 electric hypercar under the YangWang sub-brand

Car company BYD is set to launch the U9 electric hypercar under its YangWang sub-brand. Ahead of the car’s launch, photos and some of its technical specifications have appeared online.
The car is expected to be launched under its YangWang sub-brand.
YangWang U9 will be powered by four electric motors with a total output of 960 kW (1,287 hp), allowing the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in less than two seconds and reach a top speed of 300 km/h. The model will be built on the E4 platform and equipped with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries of its own production.
Among other features, the manufacturer highlights guillotine-type doors, a carbon fiber spoiler and interior inserts made of the same material. The cabin features a symmetrical layout for driver and passenger, two entertainment screens, and sport seats.
The full specs list will be announced on the official unveiling day on February 25.
