“Avtotor” released an electric car “Amberavto A5”

Autotor from Kaliningrad has unveiled its first electric car under its own Amberavto brand. The manufacturer has published photos of the novelty, revealed some technical data and talked about the production process.

The car, dubbed the Amberavto A5, is an electric platform sedan with a 160 horsepower engine and a range of up to 520 kilometers. The body dimensions of the novelty are 4675x1835x1480 mm, with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. The electric car will be produced in cooperation with an unspecified foreign partner.
The manufacturer claims that the car is adapted to the Russian climate, successfully certified and included in the program of deep localization of production. The first copies of the A5 Amberavto will roll off the assembly line at the end of 2023. The company plans to realize a pilot batch of cars in Kaliningrad to get the first operational experience. There is no information about the arrival of cars in other regions and their price.
Autotor representatives also said they plan to use the maximum number of components made in Russia when assembling the new model. Currently, they include electric motors, gearboxes, electronic systems, inverters, batteries and other components. New plants for the production of these components are planned to be built by 2024. The warranty for the battery will be 8 years or 150,000 km of mileage, and for the other components — 3 years or 100,000 km of mileage.
