Smith Hashim, Zoom’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized: “AI Companion is evolving from a personal assistant to a truly agent-based product.” This means that users will not only be able to perform familiar tasks, but also manage their calendars and generate content with the new AI.

Later this spring, users will be able to create and customize virtual agents to have deeper and more contextual conversations with customers. These agents will be able to not only communicate, but also perform specific actions. There will also be support for third-party agents such as ServiceNow Now Assist and customizable agents coming soon.

“We’re creating value for our customers with AI agents and their skills that solve real-world problems by helping them communicate, collaborate and achieve more. And all on the Zoom platform that our users trust and love,” added Hashim.
