Yandex Music has released a standalone app for Samsung Galaxy Watch

Jandex Music has unveiled a new standalone app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch smart watch that lets you listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks without a smartphone. Now Galaxy Watch4 and newer users can launch their favorite tracks, My Wave and Collections right on the watch, using all of the service’s core features.

A new app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch allows users to control Yandex Music directly from the watch. Users can listen to My Wave, add tracks to the Collection, put likes, and enable sports modes like “Running” and “Working out.” The app also includes a “Downloaded” section for offline listening to content without an internet connection.

The app has a familiar design adapted for the small screen: the homepage features a player with the current track, quick access to downloaded content and the Collection. The Collection is designed in the same style as the mobile version of the service, with sections for albums, artists, podcasts, books, and a “Like” playlist.
