What are Live Activities.
With Live Activities, apps can show real-time information right on the lock screen or Dynamic Island. “For apps with frequent content and status updates that go beyond the existing push notification system, Live Activities can be a more flexible way to keep people informed about current events, activities, or tasks,” Apple describes the feature.

Live Activities integration on Apple Watch
.
With watchOS 11, Apple is smartly integrating Live Activities on the Apple Watch. This happens by having the watch display Live Activities from the iPhone it’s connected to. The process happens automatically when a Live Activity is running on the iPhone. This is great news, since not all iOS apps have a watchOS version.

Accessibility and Requirements
watchOS 11 will be available to the general public this fall. A developer beta is already available, and the public beta will be released next month. The update requires an Apple Watch Series 6 or newer model.
