There are new AirPlay options in macOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta

Apple has released a beta version of macOS Sequoia 15.2, introducing updated AirPlay settings that allow for more flexibility when streaming content to Apple TV. Users can now choose which content to display on the TV: the entire screen, a separate window or app, or an additional display.

New options for presentations and media content

The ability to limit AirPlay to displaying a specific app will, for example, allow you to show presentations or photos on a larger screen without exposing other data on your Mac to viewers. In the current version of macOS, users can only duplicate their Mac’s screen on Apple TV, but the ability to select an individual window or app wasn’t available.

The ability to restrict AirPlay to a specific window or app wasn’t available.

Release plan and other update features

In addition to new AirPlay capabilities, macOS Sequoia 15.2 will bring Apple Intelligence features like Image Playground and ChatGPT integration for Siri. The beta is available to developers and public testers now, with a final release scheduled for early December.
