Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 gets One UI 7.0 update with Android 15 and new AI features

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets have started receiving the stable One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15. The update is already available in South Korea and brings with it a refreshed design, smarter Galaxy AI features and a weighty 5GB update pack with an April 2025 security patch. It’s expected to arrive in other regions soon – Tab S9 owners, get ready for a new experience!”

Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra are already running One UI 7.0 in South Korea, with firmware X710XXU5CYD9, X810XXU5CYD9 and X910XXU5CYD9 respectively. If you’re in Korea, head to Settings > Software Update > Download & Install to try it out. The update has also been released for the Galaxy S23, S24 FE, and Tab S10. Unfortunately, users of mid-range devices are still waiting — even the Galaxy A55 2024 recently received only the second beta.

One UI 7.0 is a joy to behold, with updated app icons, separated notification and quick settings panels, and animations that are now even smoother. There’s a new battery icon, improved charging animation, and customizable widgets for the home and lock screens. The Settings app now supports natural language search, and in the Camera app, the controls are now conveniently placed at the bottom of the screen in vertical orientation. Gemini Voice Assistant is now installed by default – activated by long-pressing the power button.
