Galaxy S25 update in June points to the imminent release of One UI 8 Beta

Samsung has released the June software update for the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones. The update is already available in South Korea and should arrive in other regions in the coming days. In addition to standard security fixes, the update includes a bootloader upgrade, indicating a possible imminent release of the second beta of One UI 8.
The bootloader update brings you back to One UI 7
The firmware update for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra uses version 4 bootloader – the same one used in the latest One UI 8 Beta internal builds. This technical change is important: on Samsung devices, you can’t install firmware with an older bootloader version than the one already installed. Matching bootloader versions between the current firmware and the next One UI 8 Beta means that users can safely revert to One UI 7 if necessary.

The exact release date of the update for the Galaxy S25 Edge has not yet been specified. This is due to the fact that Edge devices often have a different update schedule compared to the models introduced earlier.
Users who want to manually install the update can find it by the build number ending in AYE5. To download, you’ll need to open Settings, go to Software Update, and select Download and Install.
