Google is going to rename the chatbot Bard to Gemini

Google is planning major changes to its Bard artificial intelligence tool, including a rebranding to Gemini and the launch of a dedicated app. The move from «Bard» to «Gemini» could make it easier to integrate Google’s new multimodal AI model, introduced late last year. Bard utilizes the Bard and LaMDA language models, while Gemini represents a more advanced AI architecture.
Bard’s linguistic models are the same, while Gemini represents a more advanced AI architecture.

A paid subscription «Gemini Advanced» is expected to launch on Feb. 7, giving users access to the powerful Gemini «Ultra 1.0». The enhanced version of Gemini promises to expand capabilities in complex tasks such as programming, logical reasoning and creativity. A free level with more basic functionality is likely to remain available to everyone. Gemini Advanced will launch in over 150 countries, greatly expanding the availability of Google’s AI. It’s worth noting that a dedicated Gemini app for Android will be coming soon, offering a more direct and convenient way to interact with the AI.
