Apple prepares iOS 18.4 with AI-powered smart notifications – release is imminent
By ForGeeks Apple is preparing to release iOS 18.4, which will introduce one of the most anticipated features – Smart Priority Notifications powered by Apple Intelligence. The innovation is already available in the release candidate update released earlier this week, according to MacRumors.

The Priority Notifications feature will use artificial intelligence to automatically highlight the most important notifications and display them in a more prominent form on the lock screen. This should significantly reduce information noise and make it easier to access critical messages, especially when the iPhone receives dozens of notifications throughout the day.
In addition to prioritized notifications, iOS 18.4 will bring robovacuum support with Matter, which expands the ability to control your smart home through the Apple Home app. Also expected are I&I summary of user reviews in the App Store, new commands for the Teams app, and an extension of Apple Intelligence for iPhone 15 Pro users.
Besides iOS, Apple will update other platforms as well. In watchOS 11.4 there will be the ability to wake the user with an alarm clock, even if silent mode is activated -a feature especially useful for those who don’t want to miss a signal while sleeping. Updates are also forthcoming for iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, tvOS 18.4 and visionOS 2.4.
Final versions of all operating systems Apple plans to release as early as next month.
