Top 6 movies for the fall atmosphere

Top 6 movies for the fall atmosphere

Autumn, especially if it is quite rainy and cold, is the perfect time to revisit your favorite movies or get acquainted with the new ones. Usually because of the gloomy atmosphere around, many people prefer to watch horror, thrillers or some serious movies in the fall, leaving comedies for other seasons of the year.

Although it’s fair to say that a good comedy like The Intern is never a bad choice to watch. Even if it’s about a dank fall.

And it’s a good one.

Ghost Story (2017)

movie

“A Ghost Story” — a movie certainly not for everyone. It will either not like it, or it will hook you so much that it is unlikely you will ever be able to forget it. After his death, a married man returns to his home in the form of a ghost and watches his wife live out the rest of her life.

After his death, a married man returns to his home in the form of a ghost and watches his wife live out the rest of her life.

She eventually leaves, and the rest of the movie — is a time-traveling experience in which the protagonist, or rather the protagonist’s ghost, is frozen in one place. It’s a mind-blowing, beautiful exploration of the nature of death, grief and time, anchored by Rooney Mara’s incredible acting.

Stagecoach (2015)

movie

A comedy starring Robert De Niro as a retiree interning at a trendy startup may seem too funny, but director Nancy Meyers knows how to turn it into something tender and surprisingly funny.

De Niro and Anne Hathaway — are immensely charming in the lead roles, and the movie is surprisingly wise about what it means to grow old and see the world start to leave you behind. The movie “The Intern” may seem a bit unserious. However, if you think about what is happening on the screen, you will see that the balance between humor and meaning is perfectly struck.

The Martian (2015)

movie

If you needed a reminder that Matt Damon —s a contentedly charming actor, check out the movie The Martian. Adapted from the novel of the same name, the movie tells the story of an astronaut who is stranded on Mars for more than a year. And in addition to exploring, he has two other tasks – to survive and figure out how to get back to earth.

And he has two more tasks to accomplish.

The movie’s action is split between Damon’s solitary attempts to save his life and his team’s efforts to get him home. The Martian, directed by Ridley Scott, looks impressive, handles its tone well and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

The movie is a good one.

“The Martian” is the type of movie you want to return to periodically, thanks to its atmosphere, plot and, of course, acting.

Uncontrollable (2010)

movie

Few movies based on true events can seem more terrifying than “Out of Control.” Director Tony Scott’s latest movie is about an unmanned train that loses control, filled with toxic chemicals, and must be stopped before it goes off the tracks and injures thousands of people.

An unmanned train, filled with toxic chemicals, must be stopped before it goes off the tracks and injures thousands of people.

To save the situation – there is only one chance and one hope. The responsibility for stopping the train falls to a veteran engineer and a young conductor, who have to work together to keep the train on the tracks and keep each other safe.

Denzel Washington is charming as always, as is a young Chris Pine. But the main virtue of “Out of Control” is that the tension doesn’t let up from the beginning until the very end.

Sinister (2012)

movie

“Sinister” — a scary movie with a pretty inventive idea. The movie is about a true crime writer looking for an exciting and challenging idea for his latest novel. The author decides to move his family to the house where the murder took place. But after he finds some video footage, the writer begins to realize that such a decision can lead to deadly consequences.

In “Sinister,” Ethan Hawke plays a desperate, self-assured man who realizes pretty quickly that he’s in over his head with the case he’s gotten himself and his family into.

At the end of the film, the writer begins to realize that he’s in over his head.

Smart Will Hunting (1997)

movie

Robin Williams starred in “Good Will Hunting,” a movie about education and fall, once again trying to inspire disillusioned youth. This time it’s about Will Hunting (Matt Damon), who is revealed to be a true math genius, but lacks the ambition and self-belief to realize his potential. Williams plays the role of Dr. Maguire, a therapist who works with Will as part of his court-ordered probation and helps him heal from past traumas so he can move on with his life.

Will Hunting (Matt Damon).

It all sounds like trite melodrama, but in fact “Good Will Hunting” — an incredible movie that avoids tiresome clichés. It earned Williams a well-deserved Oscar, as well as honors for Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for the screenplay. One of the film’s most iconic scenes — is Dr. Maguire’s conversation with Will on a park bench as the autumn leaves swirl around them, and the former finally makes the latter realize that the latter is about to make one of the biggest mistakes of his life, and sets out to fix it.
