WWDC 2024: How to watch Apple’s presentation on June 10

WWDC 2024, Apple’s annual developer conference and one of the most important events on Apple’s calendar, is approaching. Along with the annual announcement of the iPhone series each fall, the keynote address at WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) is especially eagerly anticipated by many Apple fans. Why? It’s an annual event where Apple unveils new software for the company’s most popular products.

This year’s WWDC kicks off on Monday, June 10. Like previous keynotes, World Wide Developer Conference 2024 will begin at 8 p.m. Moscow time on Monday.
Apple’s WWDC keynote typically lasts about 90 minutes, but it can drag on for up to two hours. Given how many announcements we’re expecting from this year’s presentation, we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s longer.

What we expect from WWDC 2024
Like many previous WWDC keynotes, we don’t expect new hardware products to be unveiled next week. Instead, the event will focus on new software.
It will start with iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 for iPhone and iPad, respectively, and continue with watchOS 11 for Apple Watch and tvOS 18 for Apple TV. The company is also expected to unveil the next version of macOS (version 15) and Apple Vision Pro updates.

Some significant changes are expected in iOS 18 that could affect iPadOS 18 as well. Among those changes — a new design, RCS support for iMessage, and a revamped Control Center. AI will also play an important role in iOS and iPadOS, and this should extend to Apple Watch, Mac and possibly Apple TV.
Another major change is expected to come to iOS and iPadOS.

In the upcoming visionOS 2 for the Vision Pro, we’re expecting the possible introduction of several native apps that aren’t currently available on the new product. These could include books, calendar, maps, news, reminders, podcasts, shortcuts, voice memos, and more. We can expect other interesting features to be included as well.

After the new programs are announced, Apple will release the first beta versions of each for developers. By early July, the first public betas should be available. Full public versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, watchOS 11, and macOS 15 are due out this fall.

After the betas are announced, anyone who owns an Apple device can install themselves that version if their device will support it. But be aware that betas tend to be unstable, and rolling back — to an older version — may simply not be possible. So we recommend you proceed with caution at this point, especially if you don’t have another iPhone or iPad lying around.
So you should be careful.
