Introduced Yaamp – Winamp audio player with Yandex.Music service
By ForGeeks Russian developer Maxim Chingin has released a Yaamp app for listening to Yandex Music. The design of the player completely replicates the iconic Winamp.
Authorization in the application is done through “Yandex ID” on a separate page. The app has all the basic Yandex Music features, like a playlist with your favorite songs, My Wave, and other autoplaylists like Stash, Deja Vu, and Premiere.
All the basic Yandex Music features are available.
“Listen to tracks in your once favorite player, search for artists and enjoy «My Wave». All the basic functionality has been implemented, so you can easily get used to the «new» player… Yandex: We only allow people who have «Yandex Plus» to use our player. We hope for your mercy,” reads the project description.

After registration, the program demonstrates the Winamp 2.9 interface with player, equalizer and playlists. You can change skins if you want – eight options are available in the right-click context menu. If you don’t have enough skins, you can upload your own.
The menu also includes a “Now Playing” option. This redirects to the web version of the music streaming service. This can be useful if you want to find out more about a song or artist.
Yaamp client for macOS, Linux and Windows can be downloaded from the project’s official website or on Github for free.
