Yandex introduced a new station with Alice – Station Midi

Yandex has added the Station Midi speaker to its range of branded smart devices. The device is characterized by its compact size and powerful sound, the company said.

In Station Midi, Alice is able to trigger smart home scenarios when she hears human speech – without any additional command. For example, you can set a scenario so that in the mornings, Alice will turn on the kettle and music herself as soon as she hears voices. This is made possible by the introduction of Voice activity detector (VAD).
The developers of the device explained that the new speaker has a voluminous clear and powerful sound despite its size. It has three speakers with a total power of 24 watts. A low-frequency driver was developed specifically for the Midi Station, which is responsible for deep bass. It’s supported by two tweeters, and Room correction technology adapts the sound to the acoustics of the room.
Midi Station will start selling on November 16 simultaneously in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. In the first two countries, the speaker will be available in black and emerald colors at launch, while in Kazakhstan it will be available in black. Yandex promised to disclose the cost of the new speaker and its technical specifications before the launch.
