Oppo is gearing up for the Find X9s

Following the global rollout of the Find X9 and the Reno 15 series, Oppo is now developing a new flagship model – the Find X9s. According to exclusive intel from SmartPrix, this device will strike a balance between the base and Pro versions, targeting users who prioritize strong performance and battery life in a slightly more compact design.

The Find X9s will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, announced in January 2026. This is a more affordable variant of the flagship Dimensity 9500, featuring slightly toned-down clock speeds but retaining the same architecture-a mix of high-performance Cortex-X9 cores and energy-efficient Cortex-A7xx cores. The phone will sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (around 2800×1260 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate, matching the specs of its higher-end siblings.

One of the standout features is the massive 7,025mAh battery – roughly 25% larger than competitors in its class. Fast wired charging at 100W promises to refill the battery within 30-40 minutes. However, unlike the Find X9, the X9s will drop wireless charging, a deliberate move to cut costs and keep the chassis slim.

Oppo isn’t skimping on camera capabilities: the triple rear setup consists of three 50-megapixel sensors-primary, ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens with optical zoom. Depending on the production batch, the main sensor will either be the Samsung JN5 or Sony LYT-700. The front-facing camera packs 32MP. It’s still unclear if the X9s will inherit the same image stabilization and processing system as the Find X9 Pro, but the inclusion of a periscope lens signals serious photography ambitions.

The phone will come in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. It will run on Android 16 layered with Oppo’s ColorOS 16, expected to introduce new AI features and enhanced cloud integration.

Sources indicate a global launch for the Find X9s is scheduled for Q2 2026 (April-June). Pricing details remain under wraps but analysts predict it will be 15-20% cheaper than the Find X9 Pro, landing around $700-800 for the base model. This positions Oppo to fill the gap between upper mid-range and full premium devices, setting up a direct challenge to the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE and Xiaomi 15T.
