Sony Inzone Buds: leaked information

Last year, Sony introduced a new series of gaming headsets under the Inzone brand — the Inzone H3, H7 and H9 overhead headphones. Now, the company is ready to add the TWS model to the series and fill the gap between the H3 and H7.

Sony is now ready to add the TWS model to the series.

The glory of Inzone’s headphones (at least the H7 and H9) is that, in addition to Bluetooth, they come with a dongle for a proprietary low-latency connection — games that require fast response can’t stand up to even the best Bluetooth latency. All three models can also be plugged into a 3.5mm jack (the H3 — wired only).

All three models can also be plugged into a 3.5mm jack (the H3 — wired only).

For obvious reasons, Sony Inzone Buds WF-G700 dropped the wired option, but kept the small USB-C dongle that fits in the charging case. That means you can always plug it into your phone, tablet, PC or console, and the connection latency is just 30ms.

A Bluetooth connection can be active at the same time — just in case your phone rings while you’re playing. What’s more, the Inzone Buds headphones utilize the new Bluetooth LE Audio technology based on the L1 chip. They last up to 24 hours in Bluetooth mode (12 hours + 12 hours paired with a case), and up to 12 hours in low-latency mode with a dongle connected — up to 12 hours. The headphones also support fast charging, so you can put them in the case for 5 minutes and get 1 hour of battery life.

Either way, these headphones support Active Noise Cancellation (which is only available on the Inzone H9 model), as well as 360 Reality Audio and 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming for a more immersive gaming experience. The microphones also feature AI-based noise reduction, so voice chats in games will sound clear even if you’re in a noisy environment.

Sony Inzone Buds WF-G700 have been spotted at US retail for $200. They’ve also appeared on Amazon France’s website, though there’s no page for them yet.

The Sony Inzone H5s can also be seen on Amazon (no page for them either). They are similar to the H7 in that they have Bluetooth/2.4GHz wireless connectivity, but no ANC. They are significantly lighter — 260g (compared to 325g for the H7 and 335g for the H9), but have a short battery life — 28h (compared to 40h for the H7 and 32h for the H9 with ANC disabled). The H5 is priced at $150.
