Unveiled Vivo Y500i: 7200 mAh battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and IP69 protection
Vivo has expanded its Y500 lineup in China with the introduction of the new vivo Y500i smartphone. The novelty joins the Y500 and Y500 Pro models released last year, and relies on a capacious battery and practical features.
The main feature of the vivo Y500i is its 7,200mAh battery. It supports 44W fast charging. At the heart of the device is a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The smartphone features a 6.75-inch LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. The panel has a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and the front camera is housed in a hole in the center of the screen.
The main camera is a single 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus and f/1.8 aperture. For selfies, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera.

Other features of the vivo Y500i include — IP68 and IP69 water and dust protection, 5-star SGS Gold Label ruggedness certification, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and infrared port.

The smartphone has a body thickness of 8.49 mm and weighs — 219 grams. The model is already on sale in China in Galaxy Silver, Phoenix Gold, and Obsidian Black colors.
