Casio unveiled a limited edition Edifice x Honda watch to mark the 60th anniversary of the first Formula 1 victory
Casio has officially posted the Edifice watch, created in collaboration with Honda, on its Japanese website, confirming its release in March 2026. The model has a recommended retail price of 66,000 yen including tax. The watch is designated ECB-2300HR-1A.
This limited edition commemorates the 60th anniversary of Honda’s first Formula One victory. On October 24, 1965, the Honda RA272 won the Mexican Grand Prix, becoming the first Japanese car to win in F1. The car was equipped with a fully Honda-developed engine and chassis. Since then, the company has won six constructors’ championships and produced four world champions. The Edifice model was created to commemorate this event with Honda’s direct involvement in parts development and research.

The bezel of the watch is painted in the original Championship White — the exact shade used on the RA272. The paint is fixed to the base and coated with a protective layer that creates a glossy ivory hue that closely matches the body color of the historic car. At the 60-minute mark, a gold numeral «60» is engraved in honor of the anniversary. The dial is surrounded by a red ring inspired by Hinomaru’s design on the RA272 and the Japanese flag.
Inside the case is a gold-tone metal rim engraved with «Veni, Vidi, Vici» and the car number «11». This is a reference to the message sent by the Honda team after the historic victory. The strap is adorned with an engraved image of the RA272 1.5-liter V12 engine, highlighting Honda’s bold decision to use a 12-cylinder layout in an era when it was rare. The exterior of the strap is made from nappa leather, while the inside is crafted from ultra-suede.
At the 9 o’clock mark is a built-in countdown timer styled after the RA272 tachymeter, retaining the original color scheme, scale font, hand shape and red zone. The caseback is laser engraved with the Honda 60th Anniversary logo and comes in a special commemorative box.

The ECB-2300HR-1A measures 50.2 × 45.8 × 11.8 mm and weighs — 67 grams. The case and bezel are made of carbon fiber, stainless steel and resin. The natural and synthetic leather strap is designed to fit wrists with a circumference of 175 to 215 mm. It is water resistant to 10 ATM.
The watch is powered by the Tough Solar system, which converts sunlight and artificial light into energy. In normal mode, the autonomy is about 7 months, and in power saving mode — up to 18 months. It supports Bluetooth time synchronization via the CASIO WATCHES app, automatic time correction, easy watch setting, world time for 38 cities and UTC, stopwatch data transfer, Time and Place and Find My Phone.
