Porsche owners in different regions of Russia are reporting a problem that is causing the cars not to start. According to Telegram channel SHOT, the problem is related to a malfunction of the brand’s alarm system or a communication failure, which causes the system to block the engine from starting.

Which cars are affected

The problem is most common in crossovers and sports cars manufactured before 2020 equipped with an older version of the VTS unit.

The complaints come from car owners from Moscow, Krasnodar and other cities. Some drivers say they can temporarily solve the problem by disconnecting the battery for about 10 hours.
