ScreenBar Halo 2 — is an advanced version of the monitor light, created based on years of research and user feedback. It features a dual light system and a triple curved backlight, which distributes light much wider than the previous generation. This reduces the contrast between the screen and the surrounding area, reducing eye strain.
The ASYM-Light technology directs light at an 18-degree angle to illuminate the desktop instead of the monitor surface. This ensures a glare-free and clear image. The backlight can be controlled by an upgraded wireless controller with an anti-fingerprint coating. The user can smoothly adjust the brightness from 0 to 100% and change the color temperature from 2700K to 6500K. The new zinc alloy clamp fits a wide range of monitors, including curved and ultra-thin models, without putting pressure on the display.
Additional features include automatic brightness adjustment based on ambient light, a motion sensor that turns on the backlight when the user returns, and memory for brightness and color temperature settings. The Halo 2 is designed in collaboration with MINIMAL Design and features a neat metallic style that matches BenQ’s PD, RD, MOBIUZ and MA series of monitors.
In India, the BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 is already on sale for Rs. 17,490 (about $200). You can buy the device from BenQ India’s company store, Amazon India and a number of retail outlets. So far, the company has not announced any special versions or release of the model in other countries.
