Xiaomi is prepping premium Buds 6 wireless headphones with improved noise cancelation

Xiaomi, judging by fresh certification data, is preparing to release new flagship headphones called Xiaomi Buds 6. By the looks of it, their global debut is just around the corner.
The new Xiaomi Buds 6 TWS has been spotted in the TDRA database under the number M2540E1. While the document doesn’t reveal the detailed specs, design or price of the device, it confirms that it’s a Bluetooth headphone, which means its official announcement is coming very soon.
As the name suggests, the Buds 6 will be the successor to the Buds 5 series. As a reminder, the basic Buds 5 version came out in September 2024, and the improved Buds 5 Pro — in February 2025. It is expected that the new product will inherit and refine key features of the older models: active noise cancellation (ANC), support for spatial audio (Spatial Audio), aptX Lossless codecs, as well as other high-end audio technologies.
For reference, the Buds 5 had a semi-insert design and the Buds 5 Pro — silicone earpieces that provided better passive noise isolation. Both models featured compact «feet» and it’s likely the Buds 6 will retain that signature design.
Other features from past generations include — Dolby Atmos support when connected to Xiaomi smartphones, AI ENC-enabled call noise cancellation, Harman sound customization, and IP54 protection against moisture and dust.
The Buds 6 will also provide better noise isolation than the previous generation.
There aren’t many details yet, but everything points to the Xiaomi Buds 6 being the new flagship among the brand’s TWS headphones, offering top-end sound quality, improved noise cancellation and premium technology in a familiar design.
