Aqara smart locks can now be connected to Smart Home with Alice
Aqara has announced that its smart door locks are now supported in the «Smart Home with Alice» app. The connection is available for Aqara’s A100, D100 and D200i models. They can be used to open the door with a fingerprint, password, NFC tag or via smartphone.
The integration with the Yandex ecosystem adds new features: controlling the lock using Alice’s voice assistant and creating automatic scenarios with other devices. In the «Smart Home with Alice» app, users will be able to pair Aqara locks with appliances from Yandex and other brands. For example, when leaving home, it can be set to automatically turn on a surveillance camera and start a robot vacuum cleaner. When returning home, you can activate a common scenario for all residents or personal settings — the system will recognize the user with an individual password and turn on the right devices.

Aqara’s head of product marketing, Philip Schwed, says the integration with Yandex’s smart home makes controlling devices even more convenient and promotes the spread of automation technology in the home.
There’s a two-factor security check for voice-controlled locks: the door will only open if the user’s voice is recognized by the speaker and an additional voice password is spoken, which is set in the app. Alice also recognizes children’s voices and will not execute a command if a child tries to open the door while playing.

The Aqara hub, the «Smart Home with Alice» app, and Aqara Home will be required to connect the smart locks. Yandex Station is required for voice control.
